The Chidambaram temple is the abode of Nataraja or the Hindu lord Shiva in Ananda Tandava posture. This temple holds a great cultural, historical and religious importance. It is noteworthy that the term "Koyil" or temple in Tamil Shaivite custom refers to Chidambaram. Here Nataraja is captured in Dance of enjoyment pose (Ananda Tandavam). Meenakshi Temple
This historical temple is the heart of Madurai.devoted to lord Shiva popularly known as Sundareswararand his wife “parvati” is known as Meenakshi.It has 14 superb “gopurams”that includes 2 golden Gopurams for the prime deity. A vital festival is celebrated in this temple known as Meenakshi Thirukalyanam.
