The Tamilnadu Temples Tours – Providing the Essence of Life

It is often said that life is best lived, not understood. May be, may be not but after a visit to the temple cities of Tamil Nadu, the same thought would have to be altered. The classic definition of a temple is the place of worship for Hindus, but the definition doesn’t portray the scale of the place. Unlike what is perceived by some folks, temples, especially in south India are huge, really huge. Some temples accommodate acres and acres of land, trees and nature.

Most prominent Indian temples are very old, some built before Christ. It is not that the enormity is due to these facts (availibity of land was huge during those times), but actually the religious capacity and the sacred aspects are so huge that these big creations befit all these facets. Tamilnadu Temples tours have since provided the essence of life to many generations. This essence is well captured by Tamilnadu Tourism and their various facilities.
It is no surprise that most prominent temples are colossal houses of history, knowledge, spirituality, faith and devotion. Hence, most of these temples have individual and independent tours like the famed Meenakshi Temple tour, Navagraha Temple Tour, the Arupadai Veedu temple tours apart from tours covering temple cities of Madurai, Mahabalipuram, Chidambaram etc.

The state of Tamil Nadu forms an important link in the big Indian pilgrimage map. Even metropolitan cities like Chennai and Coimbatore along with island union territories like Pondicherry (at times referred as Pudducherry) have many beautiful and huge shrines (temples, mosques, churches) etc.
All in all, if there are so many magnificent temples which have enormous branches spreading knowledge and spirituality, most wonder as to why the neighboring state Kerala is called, god’s own country and not the holy lands of Tamil Nadu?
